About An Iliad: The war in Troy is over – and the Poet saw it all. Back from the front lines, they spin a tale of unquenchable rage, disputatious gods, and grieving widows. An Iliad weaves humanity's unshakeable attraction to warfare with the music of the muses, capturing the contradictory conditions of glory and violence.

Often we partner with other arts organizations to increase the impact of both organizations.

Artistic Team:

Brad Delzer, Director

Brad is the Artistic Director of True North Theatre. He is the former Artistic Director of Theatre B in Fargo, ND. He has directed productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Pillowman, Clybourne Park, 33 Variations, God of Carnage, among many others. For The Granite Theatre in Westerly he directed renowned production of The Laramie Project, Our Town and Girl on the Train.  He holds a BFA in Theatre from North Dakota State University. He works for The Huntington and lives in Providence, RI with his wife, twin boys and dog.

Addison Roush, 'The Poet' 

Addison hails from Texas. He received his BFA in performance from Sam Houston State University. This spring he returned to the stage after a 15 year hiatus in The Laramie Project at the Granite Theatre. Some favorite roles include Queen Gertrude in Hamlet, Freedy Benson in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Satan in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. 

Chelsea Mitchell, 'The Poet'

Chelsea is a librarian and history buff. For The Granite Theatre she has appeared in The Laramie Project, The Girl on the Train, Barefoot in the Park, and The Game's Afoot. For the Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield she appeared in A Midsummer Night's Dream and What the Constitution Means to Me.

Samantha Limner, Stage Manager

Samantha has performed for the Foundations Chorus of Westerly, Notable Works, The Arctic Playhouse, The Granite Theatre, and the Offsite Connecticut Theatre. 

Mary Puglia, Stage Manager

Mary works for South County Health as a data and database professional. 

Colin Holter, Composer

Colin Holter is a composer, collaborative artist, and writer on music based in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to his activities as a practicing musician, Colin works for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, and has been General Manager of the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra (Oberlin, OH) and Managing Editor at 113 Composers Collective (St. Paul, MN). He holds degrees in music from the University of Minnesota, Brunel University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. 

Thomas Weaver, originator of The Poet for this staging

Thomas is the former Associate Artistic Director at Gamut Theatre Group in Harrisburg, PA. He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Otterbein University. Performance credits include Macbeth (Macbeth), Twelfth Night (Malvolio), The Merry Wives of Windsor (Doctor Caius), Measure for Measure (Angelo), as well as directing Death of a Salesman and The Seagull. He currently serves as a Crime Victim Advocate for Dauphin County, PA.
